Anne Klein was born as Hannah Golofski in New York City on August 3,1923. She studied fashion soon after she finished school she began as a sketcher at seven avenue. She later rose to prominence as a designer of women's sportswear and apparel. She established Anne Klein and Co. in 1968. She was recognized as the leader in designing sophisticated, practical sportswear, blazers, trousers. Anne Klein died at the height of her success at the age of 51 from breast cancer. Her company was being run by Donna Karan who was Klein’s design assistant. Soon after that Louis Dell’Olio also joined Donna Karen and together they made history through out 80’s They were a power couple when it came to designs and innovations.
